Pink party ends early at Eden Gardens

Fans at Eden Gardens switched loyalty for 45 minutes of the third day’s play on Sunday. They cheered for every four and sharp single taken by the Bangladeshi batsmen and fell silent at the fall of the opponents’ wickets, before India wrapped up the match by getting them all out for a mere 195 and winning the inaugural daynight Test match by an innings and 46 runs. The crowd just wanted the party to last the entire Sunday afternoon and did not want to return home after only an hour’s play.
