Bus ride to north Bengal turns pricey amid rush

As if cancellation of trains was not enough, more trouble was at store for stranded passengers as they clamoured for seats in buses travelling to north Bengal. While many failed to get tickets, those who managed to secure seats had to pay through their nose with the operators charging anything between 50% and 80% more than the actual fare.
