The onion stock in retail markets across the city has depleted to less than 50 tonnes a day where the collective demand is a whopping 800 tonnes. This unprecedented poor stock has left the onion price stable at Rs 140-Rs 150 a kg, with consumers fast adapting to life without the vegetable.
