Kolkata: Rs 5L diamond ring recovered in 6-hr op

A golden ring fitted with solitaire - bought several years back by a Dover Lane family as a gift from an elderly woman to her daughter-in-law - was stolen by a help during a family gathering on Sunday evening. In the next six hours, the Gariahat police almost worked from scratch to solve the case and recover the ring, which is valued more than Rs 5 lakh.
