Late-evening rain soaks Kol, chill may return this weekend

An overcast sky since morning and spells of light rain in and around the city brought the maximum temperature down to 20.3 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal, however, kept the minimum temperature a degree higher than normal. The spells of rain on Thursday paved the way for the mercury to drop once again, the Met office said.
