'Pollution akin to human rights violation'

An 11-year-old student of a reputable school in south Kolkata has written to her Pradhan Mantri Jethu (uncle) Narendra Modi, urging him to take steps to curb pollution arising around her house in Howrah’s Andul Road due to negligence of authorities, both central and state. Subhalakshmi Roychowdhury, a Class-V student of the South Point School, wrote the letter and sent it to the Prime Minister’s office through speed post on November 25.
