Kolkata sees 25 per cent dip in suicides: NCRB

Physical illness and depression are the biggest reasons behind suicides in the city, though there are also some other personal reasons like physical abuse, love affairs, drug abuse and unwanted pregnancy, according to the National Crime Records Bureau data for 2018, released recently.
