Protesters paint streets with anti-CAA messages

As the mass agitation against the new citizenship act spread across the country, kolam and Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s, ‘Hum Dekhenge’, held a group of protesters together in Kolkata on Saturday. The participants in an anti-CAA rally from Gariahat to Garia drew kolam or alpana on roads as others recited Faiz’s poem, which recently raked up a controversy after students at IIT-Kanpur recited it during a protest following which, the institute set up a panel to consider whether the writing by the famous Urdu poet was anti-Hindu or not.
