Health panel slaps 1st deposit case on pvt hosp

The West Bengal Clinical Establishment Regulatory Commission (WBCERC) has asked two hospitals to submit their respective versions after the family of a patient, who died in the ambulance on Monday night, alleged that she was not attended to and one of the hospitals had asked for an exorbitant advance deposit. Since its formation in 2017, the commission has taken up a case suo motu for the first time.
